ALLEN, Margaret Ann (nee Waugh) - surrounded by her loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Sunday, February 6th, 2022 in her 84th year.  Beloved wife of the late John Allen.  Loving mother of the late Nelson Allen (2020) and Tod Allen (Cheryl) of Cathcart.  Cherished grandmother & great grandmother of Ashley Grey (Tyler), daughter Bowie;  John Bouckhuyt (Crystal), children Elijah & Cordelia;  and Jason Bouckhuyt (Jill Stanley), children Oliver & Charlotte.  Predeceased by her parents, the late Rollin “Doug” & Laura Waugh and by her brother William Waugh Sr.  Margaret played ball in her younger years and was a member of the Simcoe Stars 1961 team winning the league; softball and fastball championships as a short stop and catcher.  She loved her Blue Jays and also took up golf in her late 50’s and played till she was 80 always walking the 18 hole course at Woodside.  A private family graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe with Pastor Ron Mullin officiating.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe N3Y 3R3 in care of arrangements.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Margaret are asked to consider the Salvation Army or the Simcoe Caring Cupboard.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
