Allan SIBEON
Sunday October 03, 2021

SIBEON, Richard “Allan” – it is with great sadness that the family of Allan Sibeon announce his passing, surrounded by the love of his family, at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021 in his 79th year.  He is survived by his sister Margaret Long (late Wayne);  his niece, Melissa Long Ashley (Jon) of Simcoe;  his nephew, Michael Long (Erin) of Goochland, VA, their children Sara Cassivi (Derek) of Port Burwell, Corey Cassivi (Beau) of Simcoe and Owen Long of Goochland, VA.  Predeceased by his parents, Richard and Lillian (nee Sheppard) Sibeon.  Allan really enjoyed family time at the cottage in Turkey Point.  He also loved the fair and Art in the Park.  Every year for the fair he would have weekly passes to enjoy the sites and get his fill of dixie dogs, fudge and caramel corn.  He loved meeting old friends and making new ones everywhere he went.  He enjoyed his daily walks to get his paper and head over to the mall for coffee and more conversation.  Allan also enjoyed spending time with his neighbours, Jean Olmstead & Fran and Don Moore.  He would sit with Jean on her front porch and chat or “supervise” Don while he cut his grass.  He was intensely proud of his family and asked everyday how they were all doing.  He will be immeasurably missed.  We would like to thank Dr. Robin Martin-Godelie, Dr. Bard and all the amazing staff at N.G.H. for all they did for us.  We are blessed to have such an amazing team;  always making sure patients and families are comfortable.  Also, to Rosewood Senior Living, Allan enjoyed his time there and appreciated the wonderful care he received.  Until we meet again.  Philippians 4:13.  A private family funeral will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk Street North, Simcoe N3Y 3R3 with Rev. Mary Jo Patterson officiating.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Allan are asked to consider the Cancer Support & Resource Program.  Donations may be mailed to the funeral home.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
