Death Notices

COBER, Paul Howard - passed away on Friday, September 17th, 2021 in his 81st year.  Beloved husband for 57 years to Marion Cober (nee Misner) of Port Dover.  Loving father & grandfather of Kim Cober (Geraldo Souza), children Caique & Tarsila; and Chris Cober (Sheri), children Caleb & Alexandra. He also leaves behind his faithful four-legged companion Maggie.  Paul is predeceased by his sister Anita, and parents Howard and Gwen Cober.  Paul was raised in Port Credit, and met Marion while attending Ryerson in Toronto.  They spent the next 57 years together, mostly in Norfolk County.  People were his hobby.  He loved driving the back roads of Norfolk and talking to farmers, first while selling fertilizer for Misner Fertilizer, then while selling Real Estate, starting with R. E. Mann and then later with Dave Brown Realty.  He was Past Master of the Masonic Lodge in Port Dover and long time member and supporter of the Shriners and the Royal Canadian Legion.  Special thanks to the VON, the St. Elizabeth Society, Home Instead, the Alzheimer Society, and Care Partners for all of their help and support over the last few months. A private family graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Lynedoch.
