GUTHRIE, James Edward “Jim” - passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, August 7th, 2021 in his 91st year.  Beloved husband of the late Yvonne (nee Tate) Guthrie (1996) and Marilyn (nee Griffiths) Guthrie of Simcoe.  Jim will be lovingly remembered by Marilyn’s children Bill Petker (Doreen) and Donna Cullimore (Dave), both of Simcoe.  Jim will be sadly missed by his siblings Sharon Guthrie of Simcoe, Wayne Guthrie (Alice) of Hagersville and by his sister-in-law Jean Guthrie of Simcoe.  Predeceased by his parents, the late Jesse & Isabel Guthrie and by sisters Alma Tostik (2016), Patricia Goode (2019) and by brothers Carson (1986) & Aubrey Guthrie (2008).  Friends are invited to share their memories of Jim with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk Street North, Simcoe N3Y 3R3 for visitation on Friday, August 13th, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. (face masks & social distancing required).  A private family funeral “by invitation only” will be held with Pastor Allan Burr officiating.  Interment:  Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Jim are asked to consider the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
