HAYWARD, Arthur Thomas (1925 - 2021) – safely home in the arms of Jesus, surrounded by his loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Friday, June 25th, 2021 in his 96th year.  Beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Neidrauer) Hayward (2013).  Loving father of Barrie Hayward of Brantford, Cheryl Carr (Ken) of Simcoe and Dana Hayward (Lorna) of Ingersoll.  Cherished grandfather & great grandfather of Shawn, Heather (Duncan), children Ben & Hillary; Jason, Jeff (Debbie), children Annaleise (Castor Baker), their son Hogan Arthur, Larissa, McKenna & Ayden;  Lisa DeGraaf (Dave), Robert Jones, children Rae & Gavynn;  Jamie (Amy), daughter Florence; Sarah Cox (Richard), daughter Sienna;  Tammy Jones (Bill Patterson), son Justin (Alaina);  and Barb Shields, son Conner.  Lovingly remembered by his brother Ron Hayward (late Marg) of Mt. Forest and by nieces, nephews & extended family.  Art served in the Canadian Armed Forces as Camp Bugler, the Royal Canadian Regiment Band and as a Para Trooper.  Due to covid restrictions, a private family funeral service will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe, ON  N3Y 3R3.  Pastor Steve Faulkner will officiate with interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Art are asked to consider the Diabetes Association or Camp Trillium – Rainbow Lake (Annaleise Carr Crossing).  Donations may be mailed to the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, Simcoe.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15
