KLASSEN, Henry (1929- 2021) – promoted into the presence of his Lord and Saviour at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Sunday, June 13th, 2021 in his 93rd year.  Cherished husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Klassen (nee Peters) of Simcoe.  Beloved father of Ken (Maureen) of Bradford, Kathy Dreyer (John) of Brantford, Gerry (Barbara) of Dundas, Randy of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan and Darlene Buchwald (Brad) of Simcoe.  Loving grandfather & great grandfather of Ryan, Bethany (Jody), daughter Kara; Luke (Julie), children Xavier, Natalia & Stella; Jake (Brittanee); Eric; Ian; Gabe; Julianne; Ben (Abby), daughter Eliza; Adam (Carly) and Zach (fiancée Megan).  Lovingly remembered by his daughter-in-law Lorraine Klassen.  Predeceased by siblings Betty, Marlene (Harry), Nettie (late Abe), Helen (John), Abe (Mary), George (Margaret), Cornie (Mary), John (Sarah).  Due to covid restrictions, a private family visitation & funeral service will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe N3Y 3R3 with Pastors Herman Plett & Richard Martens officiating.  Interment:  Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  Pastor Bret Maukonen will complete committal.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Henry are asked to consider Every Home For Christ, Far East Broadcasting or Multiply.  Donations may be mailed to the funeral home.  We would like to acknowledge all the wonderful caregivers who cared for Henry / Dad at home, allowing him to stay there for as long as he did.  You know who you are and we are eternally grateful.  To the amazing friends who were there to assist at any time of day or night.  We are humbled at your willingness to help.  Thank you all so much!  And finally, to the compassionate staff of 4B at NGH, who gently eased our dad thru his final days.  We thank you from the very bottom of our hearts.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
