LOCKE, G. Perry – formerly of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, more recently Simcoe;  surrounded by his loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, May 1st, 2021 in his 83rd year.  Beloved husband of the late Shirley (nee Harding) Locke (2018).  Cherished father of Chris Locke (Carmen) of Lynnville, and adored Papa to Grace & Brady.  Perry will be lovingly remembered by his brother James Locke (Elsie) of Brookfield, NS.  Predeceased by his siblings Margaret Harrison and Tom Locke.  Sadly missed by Carmen’s parents, Clarence & Janet Smith.  Special thanks to the staff & friends at Rosewood Senior Living for all their love & care.  Perry was an avid golfer and a long time member of Brightwood Golf & Country Club in Dartmouth, and a proud member of the Austenville Owl’s Club.  Among his many accomplishments on the golf course was winning the Nova Scotia Amateur Golf Championship in 1970.  Due to covid restrictions, a private family interment of ashes will be held at a later date.  The family would also like to thank the staff at the Norfolk General Hospital, especially the nurses on 4B and Dr. Thorogood for the wonderful care they provided.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Perry are asked to consider the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.  Donations may be mailed to the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe, ON  N3Y 3R3 or online at www.heartandstroke.ca  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com  (519) 426-0199
