GURR, Lucy Mary Alice - Lucy was born in Simcoe on Oct. 17, 1952.  She spent her life at a variety of employments but her favorite was as a a back up singer at a recording studio in Toronto.  Her loves were animals, especially cats and dogs.  She also enjoyed the challenge of playing Scrabble against her siblings. She went to eternal rest on Monday Apr.19, 2021.  Lucy is loved and missed by her brother Lloyd, and sisters, Karen, Sharon, and Claire.  We are sad to know she is not with us but very happy to know, she is no longer suffering and even more importantly she is being welcomed by the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ.  Lucy will also be very much missed by her best friend Suzy Schooley.   A cherished friendship since childhood that has lasted all these years.  Lucy is fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.  Lucy, rest in peace with Jesus.  Funeral services are private at the request of Lucy.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North  Simcoe, ON in care of arrangements.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com
