BERTRAND, Raymond (Ray or ‘Bert’) James: The family sadly announces the passing of their brother and uncle at his home on Thursday, March 25th, 2021 in his 64th year.  Beloved son of the late Robert Oliver (Bob) Bertrand (1996) and mother Anne Evelyn Bertrand (nee Benyk, 2015). Loving brother of Elaine (David), Robert H. (Nikki) and Lu-Ann (John). Cherished uncle of Robert W., Michelle, Anthony, Elizabeth, Sarah and James, and six great-nephews/nieces. Ray was born in rural Simcoe, Ontario, the ‘baby’ of four children in the family. He lived in Simcoe nearly all his life, with job-related stints in Hamilton, ON and Winnipeg, MB. He was a devoted Montreal Canadiens fan and loved his little blue car that still had not a speck of rust after 12 years.  We will dearly miss Ray’s kindness, sharp wit, incredible memory and attention to detail.  Due to COVID restrictions, a private family graveside service will be held at the Port Dover Cemetery.
