Death Notices

JORDBRO, Nellie Jean - passed away at the Norview Lodge, Simcoe on Saturday, February 13th, 2021 in her 97th year.  Loving sister of Gerry Wilton of Saskatoon.  Nell will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews & extended family.  She will be fondly remembered by her many long-time friends.  Predeceased by her siblings Joan Crowley, Lillian MacLean, Bertie Jordbro and by her nephew Ron Crowley.  Nell had an active life playing soft ball as a winning pitcher.  She was honoured to have been inducted into the Simcoe Sports Hall of Recognition.  Later in life Nell became a Taoist Tai Chi instructor where she helped many Simcoe residents gain better health and balance.  She was a wise and wonderful friend to all who knew her.  A private family interment of ashes will be held at a later date.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Nell are asked to consider the Cancer Support & Resource Program.  Donations may be mailed to the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe N3Y 3R3.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
