WARDELL, R. Virginia (nee Davis) – surrounded by her loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021 in her 86th year.  Beloved wife of the late Vern Wardell (2011).  Cherished mother of Bonnie Marques (Carlos) of Simcoe.  Loving grandmother & great grandmother of Matthew Fess, Mark Fess, Robin Fess, Ricardo Marques (Jen), son Oliver & Jennifer Marques (Brent Cunningham), daughter Ellie.  Lovingly remembered by her sister Nancy Meredith (Ed) and by her sister-in-law Bernice Davis.  Virginia will be loving remembered by Vern’s sister Shirley Baker & sister-in-law Marjorie Wardell.  Predeceased by siblings Sally Davis, Marie Harris, Ruby Moore, Judy Seguin, Paul Davis & David Davis.  Virginia was a long time employee of the Norfolk General Hospital and an active member of the Simcoe Senior Centre.  Due to covid restrictions, a private service followed by an interment of ashes will be held at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.  The JASON  SMITH  FUNERAL  CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe entrusted with arrangements.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Virginia are asked to consider the Kidney Foundation or the Cancer Society.  Donations may be mailed to the funeral home.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com  (519) 426-0199
