JOHNSTON, Edith Marie (nee Piche) 1924-2020 – passed away at the Cedarwood Village Nursing Home, Simcoe on Sunday, November 15th, 2020 in her 97th year.  Loving mother of Donna Cole (Ron) of Port Dover, John Johnston (Donna) of Tillsonburg, Barbara Snow (Daryl), Betty Ann Johnston & William Johnston, all of Simcoe.  Cherished grandmother & great grandmother of Steve (Mary), children Kandice & Nicholas;  Julie Verspeeten (Mark), children Amy (Greg Walsh) & Jordan;  Lorie Brown (Mark), children Courtney & Justin;  the late Jason (Cheryle), children Jonah & Allyson;  Christopher Johnston;  John Karns (Carolyn), son Dylan;  Tracy Hegmans (Paula);  Darren (Megan), children Jordyn, Alexis, Matthew, Korbyn, Cody; Nathan (Katie), son Bentley;  Stephanie Johnston, children Nolan, Isaiah & Zachary;  and Brooke Johnston.  Proud great great grandmother of Gavin Verspeeten.  Predeceased by siblings Florence Dean, Helen Martin, Lucy Allender, Raymond Piche & Jim Davidson.  Due to restrictions of covid19, a private family visitation & service will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe.  Pastor Ron Mullin will officiate.  Interment:  Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Edith are asked to consider the Salvation Army.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
