Death Notices

INNES, John Douglas (1937-2020) – surrounded by his loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020 in his 84th year.  Beloved husband of the late Madge (nee Dunn) Innes (2016).  Loving father and grandfather of Debbie Gayed (Vic) of Port Rowan, their daughters Alysha DiMascio (Nick) & Amy;  Scott Innes (Darcea) of Ridgeway, daughters Olivia & Breanna;  and Brian Innes (Amanda) of Port Rowan, children Memphis & Madelene.  Cherished great grandpa of Brynnlee & Colton John DiMascio.  John will be lovingly remembered by his sister Rennie Oakes (Keith) of Simcoe and by several nieces, nephews & extended family.  Predeceased by siblings Christina O’Dell and Robert Innes.  A private family memorial service will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe with John’s son-in-law Vic Gayed officiating.  Private interment of ashes:  Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  Those wishing to donate in memory of John are asked to consider the Canadian Red Cross.  Special thanks to the staff of Tillsonburg Hospital and Norfolk General Hospital, especially Bree & Teddy in the ICU.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
