SMALLEY, Alden Irwin – promoted to the loving arms of his Lord & Saviour at the Norview Lodge, Simcoe on Sunday, October 18th, 2020 in his 96th year.  Beloved husband of 69+ years to Joyce Smalley (nee McCollum) of Simcoe.  Loving father of Raymond Smalley (Mary Ann) of Massachusetts, Pat Hurley (Ted) of Simcoe and Craig Smalley (Gail) of Turkey Point.  Cherished grandfather & great grandfather of Jeffrey Smalley (Bianca), children Jude & Elton;  Steve Smalley (Brittney); Kevin Hurley (Rebecca), children Aiden, Adley, Micah & Aaliyah; Lisa Blevins (Nathanael), children Tristan & Logan;  Heather Mapledoram (James), children William, Juliette, Olivia & Charlie;  Gary Harp, son Hunter.  Alden is predeceased by his siblings Thelma Knox, Gladys Smellie, Mary Law & Ralph Smalley.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Alden with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. N. Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, October 21st, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  In following the Covid19 government guidelines for funerals, anyone wishing to attend visitation must pre-register by calling the funeral home (519) 426-0199 between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. to book a time or by email to jason@smithfuneralchapel.com  Time slots will be booked in 15 minute increments.  FACIAL COVERINGS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR BOTH VISITATION & THE PRIVATE FUNERAL.  A private funeral (by invitation only) will be held with interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  Pastor Steve Faulkner will officiate.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Alden are asked to consider the Simcoe & District Humane Society or Emmanuel Bible Church.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com
