KLOSLER, Maria (nee Mosel) - With very sad hearts, the family announces the passing of Maria on Saturday September 26, 2020.  Devoted wife to Martin (deceased 2018), dear mother to Martin Klosler Jr. (deceased 1977), John Klosler and Kathy Hoy (Ron) and loving Oma to Robert and Andrew Hoy.  Survived by 2 brothers, preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister.  Maria loved to bake – apple pie, donuts and traditional German cookies and cakes – and baked often, always ready to share with family and anyone who happened to drop by.  Maria’s (and Martin’s) door was always open.  ‘Goodie bags’ were always sent home for others to enjoy later.  Maria enjoyed helping people.  She was a member of St Peter’s Lutheran Church women’s group for 60 years and helped out for many years at Lions Club dinners.   Maria always made sure to keep in contact with those needing a call.  Maria’s hobby was crocheting.  She made many beautiful afghans over the years.  Maria also worked for years on the family farm.  Maria enjoyed most, spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed being at the cottage in Turkey Point and later in life spending time on vacation with her grandsons.  Maria will be missed by the many whose lives she touched.  Due to the current Covid restrictions, a private (family only) funeral service will be held at St Peter’s Lutheran Church in Simcoe with interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  Donations (if desired) can be made to St Peter’s Lutheran Church, the Alzheimer’s Society of H-N or the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation.  Donations may be made through the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk Street North, Simcoe, ON N3Y3R3.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519)-426-0199
