Death Notices

BRUNTON, Elizabeth Jane “Betty” (nee Gardner) 1928-2020 – passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 in her 93rd year.  Beloved wife of the late Bill Brunton (1998).  Loving mother of the late Scott Brunton (1972), Doug Brunton (Donna) of Simcoe, Sheelagh McFarlane of Simcoe and Bill Brunton (Janet) of Waterford.  Betty will be lovingly remembered by 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  Sadly missed by her brother Walter Gardner (Mary) of Welland.  Predeceased by her brothers Norman & Thomas Gardner.  Betty & Bill owned and operated Bunton’s Grocery in Simcoe for many years.  A private family memorial services will be held at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe by invitation only.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Betty are asked to consider the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com  (519) 426-0199
