SQUIRES, Albert Samuel “Al” (1931-2020) – passed away at the Parkview Meadows Retirement Home, Townsend on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 in his 89th year.  Beloved husband of the late Gladys (nee McArthur) Squires (2001) and June (nee DeFeber) Squires of Simcoe.  Loving father & grandfather of Jack Squires (Alice) of Port Dover, their children Richard (Janina) & Chrystal;  and Frank Squires (Nancy) of Vanessa, their children Scott & Tara.  Proud great grandfather of Abby, Lauren and Chelsea.  Sadly missed by June’s children Steven Taylor and Deborah Cooke (Jim).  Lovingly remembered by several siblings, nieces, nephews and extended family.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Al with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Mullin officiating.  Interment:  Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Al are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Society of Haldimand-Norfolk.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com  (519) 426-0199
