LOTUS, John “Meril” - passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, August 28th, 2019 in his 93rd year.  Beloved husband of the late Cora Lotus (2008).  Loving father of Nancy Bruder (James) of Simcoe, John Lotus (Donna) of Simcoe and Shelley Bellamy (Tim) of Port Elgin.  Cherished grandfather & great grandfather of Jason Bruder (Tonia), children Alison & Tim;  Nathan Bruder (Megan), daughter Poppy;  Becky Heran (Tony Bernardo), children Natalie, Matthew & Tyler;  Amy Van Dertuin (Darren), sons William & Owen;  Jerrett Bellamy (Jessica), children Cameron & Tessa;  and Jenessa Bellamy (Brandon Rae).  Meril will be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews & extended family.  Predeceased by his sister Kathleen Kowalsky and by his brother Edwin Lotus.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Meril with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Friday, August 30th, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.  A funeral mass will be held from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 211 Union St. Simcoe on Wednesday, September 4th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr.
