McPHERSON, Maria (nee Roszt) 1958-2019 – surrounded by her loving family at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 in her 62nd year.  Beautiful wife and best friend of over 40 years to Bruce McPherson of Scotland.  Loving and proud mother of Corey (Mirjana) & Laird.  Adoring grandmother to Luka and Marko.  Survived by her sister Isabel Herbstreit (Mike).  Lovingly remembered by Bruce’s siblings David (Kim), Martha (Tom) and by her foster parents Frank and Laura Bahula.  Predeceased by her brother Stevie.  Maria loved her family, her home, flowers and sunshine.  She’ll always be our Hungarian princess.  A true fighter, she battled cancer for over 13 years.  She will be dearly missed be all who knew her.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Maria with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Sunday, April 28th, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Maria’s funeral service will be held in the chapel of Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mike Holt officiating.  Interment:  Scotland Cemetery.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Maria are asked to consider the Brantford General Hospital – Palliative Care Unit.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
