ASSEL, Mabel Alberta (nee Melville) 1938-2019 – passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on Tuesday, April 16th, 2019 in her 81st year.  Beloved wife of Richard Assel of Turkey Point.  Loving mother & grandmother of Cheryl Cullimore (Mike) of Simcoe, their daughters Cassandra “Cassie” & Rachael;  and Lisa Colford (Ronnie) of Simcoe, their daughter Katelyn.  Mabel will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Dolores Winter (Lloyd) of Vittoria, Faye Jarvis (Harold) of Simcoe, Jim Melville (Barb) of Vittoria and Vern Melville (Helen) of Alymer.  Predeceased by her sister Joan Burke (late Leon “Bus”) and by brothers Doug Melville (late Jackie), Bill Melville (late Phyllis) and George Melville (late Chris).  Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Mabel with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. N.
