Death Notices

TORTI, Josephine Anne “Joanne” (nee Kew) – passed away at her home on Sunday, January 20th, 2019 in her 64th year.  Loving mother & grandmother of Kevin Torti (Lindsay) of Simcoe, their son Lucas;  Jacqueline Torti (Nicholas Dyjach) of London;  and Jessica Douglas (Brandon) of Simcoe, children Ariana, Ava & Hunter.  Lovingly remembered by her siblings Marilyn Lefler (Jim) of Waterford, Michael Kew (Marilyn) of Waterford, John Kew (Debbie) of Simcoe and Jim Kew (Marianne) of Brantford.  Joanne will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews & extended family.  A celebration of life will be held at later date.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe in care of arrangements.  For many years Joanne worked as a psychiatric nurse helping patients with mental illness.  In honouring Joanne’s memory, the family wish any donations to made to the Adult Mental Health Association or the Alzheimer’s Society of Haldimand-Norfolk.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com  (519) 426-0199
