BALLYNS, “Jimmie” – passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family of Sunday, October 21st, 2018 in his 56th year.  Devoted husband and best friend of Maryse (nee Poitras).  Loving and cherished father & adored papa of Westley (Kelsey Johnston) and Stephanie, her children Caiden, Meeghan and Kennedie.  Precious son of Bill & Ann Ballyns, and loving brother of Freda Crowhurst (Tom) and Marion Ballyns (Kevin Minson).  Predeceased by his brother Harold (2015), mother-in-law Germaine Poitras (2017) and brother-in-law Wayne Blake (2014).  Lovingly remembered by both the Poitras & Ballyns families which include many nieces and nephews.  Jim leaves behind a cherished circle of friends.  His sense of humour and storytelling will be missed by all.  Jim retired from Stelco after thirty years of service to enjoy travel, his hand at mechanics, boating, sledding, “pondering”, but mostly his family and his dogs.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Jim with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe for visitation on Thursday, November 8th, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon **Note Time Change**.  A service will be held in the chapel following visitation at 12:00 noon with Pastor Bill Wiebe officiating.  A celebration of life will follow the service at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 79, 200 West St. Simcoe from 1:00 - 4:30.  Private family interment of ashes at a later date.  Special thanks to Dr. J.
