GIELAROWSKI, Ted  (1930 - 2018) - passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Cedarwood Village Nursing Home, Simcoe on Friday, May 25th, 2018 at age 87.  Beloved husband of Helen (nee Boch) of Simcoe.  Loving father of Deborah Gielarowski of Port Dover;  Cynthia Lovell (John) of London, and Lisa Safian (Frank) of Ancaster.  Cherished grandfather of Helen Bourgeois (Vincent); Anne Kneale (Tim), daughter Theodora; Jillian Safian (Yannick);  Vanessa Safian (Anthony);  Patrick Lovell (Tara), daughter Evie;  Jeffrey Lovell (Shanna), son Ben;  Peter Lovell (Nichole) & Marc Lovell (Erin).  Lovingly remembered as uncle & great uncle.  Predeceased by his parents, the late Michael & Helen Gielarowski.  Ted was passionately involved in Norfolk County.  Ted served as a member of the Lions Club, Simcoe Kinsmen, Probus and the Norfolk County Fair.  He was a long time member of the Norfolk Golf & Country Club, never losing his desire to pick up a club & hit a few balls.  After retiring from Molson's Brewery, Ted enjoyed many winters in Florida with family and friends in the Sarasota & Lakeland areas.  In his final years, Ted enjoyed many good conversations over coffee with his friends in the Atrium.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Ted with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, May 30th, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.  A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Frank Chowhan officiating.  Private family interment of ashes:  Oakwood Cemetery.  The family would like to thank the staff of Cedarwood Village for their kind and dedicated care during his stay.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Ted are asked to consider the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com  (519) 426-0199
