GRAU, Otto Gottlieb (1927-2018) – of Renton, surrounded by his loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Sunday, February 25th, 2018 in his 91st year.  He is lovingly survived by his wife of 65 years Irma, and by his daughters Marg Tanchak (Dan) and Gisela Charette.  Loving grandfather & great grandfather of Tara Tanchak, Melanie Samborski (Jeff), their children Matthew, Stephanie & Katlyn;  Brian Tanchak (Sam), their children Peyton, Harley & Jax;  Laura Charette-Nobrega (Chris), their children Juliette, Carter & Emmeline;  and Alex Charette.  Otto is also survived by his son-in-law Paul Charette.  Born in Germany, Otto was the youngest of seven children.  He moved to Canada in 1953 with his wife and baby daughter.  In 1962, he embarked on his greatest passion, his apple orchard.  Growing his farm larger to create Townsend Fruit Farms, of which he was still the acting president.  Otto was also a member of the Delhi District German Hall.  He was predeceased by 6 siblings.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Otto with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  A private family funeral will be held with Pastor Jeff MacLeod officiating.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Otto are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
