ANTONISHKA, Dennis Michael (1947 - 2017) – surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Stedman Hospice, Brantford on the evening of December 25th, 2017 in his 71st year.  He was born on September 11th, 1947 in Tolstoi, Manitoba and spent much of his life in Etobicoke, Port Dover and Simcoe.  Beloved husband of Shirley Antonishka (nee Musselman) of Simcoe.  Cherished son of Nellie & the late Nicholas of Simcoe.  Dear father of Mark Jason Antonishka & his wife Catherine Dmitrienko of St. Catherines.  Predeceased by his younger brother Taras (2014).  Lovingly remembered by his in laws, Lenny (Dianne) Musselman and James Musselman, both of Waterloo.  Nieces and nephews;  Brittany Musselman of Waterloo, Jennifer Musselman of Welland, Amanda & Colin Bruce, children Ailsa, Neave & Sebastian of the U.K.; Craig Musselman (Jon) of Cambridge and Jeff Musselman (Natalie) of Stratford, children Paige & Autumn.  Dennis was an “Avid” car guy;  dedicated Maple Leaf fan and enjoyed fishing & golfing.  He was an employee of Ontario Hydro 1969 / Ontario Power Generation, retiring in 2004.  Dennis will be sadly missed by all who knew him.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Dennis with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Saturday, December 30th, 2017 from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m.  A private family memorial & interment of ashes will be held in the spring with interment at New Dundee Cemetery.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Dennis are asked to consider the Stedman Hospice or the Cancer Support & Resource Program.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
