FAIRLEY, Joan Evelyn (nee Thorndyke) – passed away at the Dover Cliffs Long Term Care Home on Tuesday, March 28th, 2017 in her 84th year.  Beloved wife of Robert Fairley of Port Dover.  Loving mother & grandmother of Robert Fairley Jr. (Susan) of Port Dover, their children Robbie, Ross (Anna), Samantha (Jarrod) & Scotty;  and Dale Shura (Steven) of Mississauga, their children Dayna (Jason), Shannon & Stephanie (Mohammed).  Joan will be lovingly remembered by her brother Robert Thorndyke (Anne).  Predeceased by her son Donald (1980) and by siblings Florence Rothwell, Gerald & Russell Thorndyke.  All services will remain private with a spring interment of ashes at a later date.  The JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe in care of arrangements.  In honouring Joan’s life, those wishing to donate in her memory are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Society of Haldimand-Norfolk.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
