Madeline HAGERMAN

HAGERMAN, Madeline Ruth “Madge” (nee Cowie) – The family is profoundly sad to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother in her 96th year, at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock, on March 15. Born in Teeterville to the late William and Amy Cowie. Adoring wife of the late Glenford (Glen) Hagerman (1991). Predeceased by eldest son Grant (1995), and brother Murray Cowie (2008). Survived by sons Allan (Elaine), Garry (Linda), and Brian (Jacqueline White). Treasured grandmother / great grandmother of Grant’s daughters Allyson Otten (Henry) and sons William, Jackson and Samuel,  Jennifer VanBiesen (Dan) and sons Matthew and Jacob,  Heather  Bucholtz (Tom) and twin daughters Carly and Sara and son Joseph;  Al and Elaine’s children Kim Orchard (Andrew) and sons Zachary and Noah,  Chris Hagerman (Michelle Schira-Hagerman) and daughters Zoe and Ellyn;  Garry and Linda’s children Jason Hagerman-Desjardine (Michelle) and Laura Hagerman;  and Brian’s daughter Allie Baker (Dan) and daughter Ava and son Ethan. Glen and Madeline farmed in Windham Township until 1971, semi-retired to Otterville and retired to South River / Sundridge until Glen’s passing.  In 1993 Madge moved to Hickory Hills in Tillsonburg where she resided until 2013.  That year she moved to Harvest Retirement Centre, Tillsonburg.  In December 2015 she moved one last time to Woodingford Lodge.  The family is very grateful for the warm, devoted and gentle care Madge received at both Harvest and Woodingford.  In accordance with Madeline’s wishes , there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A private family celebration of her life and interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the JASON  SMITH  FUNERAL  CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North, Simcoe.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Madeline are asked to consider a charity of their choosing.
