HUNTER, Mary (nee Tanchak) 1925 - 2016 – promoted to the loving arms of her Lord & Saviour at the Norview Lodge, Simcoe on Thursday, January 14th, 2016 in her 91st year.  Beloved wife of the late Joe Shevchuk (1964) and the late Rev. Roy Hunter (1990).  Loving mother of Ruth Burkitt (John) of Gilmore and Robert Hunter (Leonora) of Grand Falls, Nfld.  Cherished grandmother of Christian Burkitt (Katarina), Jordan Burkitt;  Allison Fredericks (Andy);  Robert Hunter & Shekina Hunter.  Proud great grandmother of Marcus, Lily, Ella & Noah.  Mary will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Margaret MacKenzie (Eric), Ruth Smith (Lyle), John Tanchak (Lily) & Dan Tanchak (Marg).  Mary will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.  Predeceased by an infant brother George.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Mary with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Tuesday, January 19th, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Mary’s home going service will be held from Calvary Pentecostal Church, Ireland Rd.
