HEGGIE, Joseph Loyd “Joe” (1927-2015) – passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, March 21st, 2015 in his 88th year.  Beloved husband of the late Bette Evelyn Elizabeth (nee Lowe) Heggie (1988).  Loving father & grandfather of Larry Cooper (Heather) of Southampton, children Teri-Lyn Campbell (John); Tracy Jackman (Mike), Trish Bingham & Mitchell Bingham;  Sheila Van Groningen (Wayne) of Vittoria, daughters Tawnya & Aleecia;  Mitzi Christy (late Jim – 2011) of Brantford, daughters Nicole (fiancé Hugh Howie) & Rachelle;  Penny Heggie of Simcoe;  and Nathan Heggie (Joanne) of Simcoe, children Garrett & Madison.  Lovingly remembered by many great grandchildren.  Joe is survived by his siblings Elizabeth Darling of Hamilton, Steve Heggie (Betty) of Oshawa & Donald Heggie (Marie) of Simcoe.  He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins & extended family.  Dearly missed by his best friend and partner, Georgia Wardell of Simcoe.  Before his retirement, Joe owned & operated Joe’s Auto Body in Simcoe for more than 30 years.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Joe with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North  Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, March 25th, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  A private service and interment will be held at the Port Dover Cemetery.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Joe are asked to consider the Cancer Support & Resource Program or the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
