LOPES, Maria da Piedade  (1922 - 2014) – surrounded by her loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Wednesday, December 10th, 2014 in her 93rd year.  Beloved wife of the late Manuel Lopes (2009).  Loving mother Maria Lusitana Fernandes (Luis), and Maria Nazare Lucero (Francisco), all of Simcoe.  Cherished grandmother & great grandmother of Manuel Fernandes (Crystal), their daughter Alexiss;  Louis Mendes (Patricia Kozak) and Fatima Henriques (Raul), their children Nicholas & Alaina.  Maria will be lovingly remembered by her brother Jeronimo Rodrigues (Lusitana da Cruz) and many extended family in Portugal.  Sadly missed by her former son-in-law Antonio Miguel Mendes.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Maria with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Friday, December 12th, 2014 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Parish prayers will be said Friday evening at 8:00 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Simcoe (corner of Queen & Union St.) on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. with Rev.
