BEST, Ralph Leslie ( 1930 - 2014 )  – surrounded by his loving family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, October 18th, 2014 in his 85th year.  Cherished husband of 62+ years to Mary Best (nee Lindsay) of Simcoe.  Loving father and grandfather of Paul (Doris) of Calgary, their son Tristin;  and Glen (Laurel) of Oakville, their children Corey & Madison.  Dear brother of Mildred Eadie of Brantford and brother-in-law of Jean Best of Kingston.  Ralph will be lovingly remembered by Mary’s family, her siblings Evelyn Lindsay of Etobicoke, Fred (Gertrude) of Calgary, Bill (Joy) of Mississauga, Genevieve Lindsay and Gordon Welsh, both of Brantford.  Ralph is also survived by many nieces, nephews & extended family.  Special thanks to Susan Cline and Jane White for always being so good to us.  Predeceased by his parents, Clarence & Bessie Best, and by brothers Kenneth Best (Wilda), Walter Best and by his sister-in-law Margaret Welsh and by brothers-in-laws Jerome & Gordon Lindsay and Jack Eadie.  Ralph was a 36 year employee of Union Gas Limited.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Ralph with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Tuesday, October 21st, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A private family funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday with Pastor Ron Mullin officiating.  Interment:  Mount Hope Cemetery, Brantford at a later date.  Those wishing to donate in Ralph’s memory are asked to consider the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
