KAPEL, Gertrude (nee Benis) 1931 - 2014 - passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, July 12th, 2014 in her 83rd year.  Beloved wife of the late Frank Kapel (2013).  Cherished mother of Pauline Ellliott and her husband David of Mississauga and the late Steve Kapel (2008), his wife Jane of Port Dover.  Loving grandmother of Spencer & Justin Elliott, both of Mississauga;  Steve Kapel (Jackie) of Jarvis, their children Tyler & Jacob;  David Kapel (Michelle) of Simcoe, her children Jenise & Jessie;  Cory Powell (Kitty) of Ottawa, their son Bayden;  Dustin Powell (Penny) of Bradford, their children Austin & Ethan.  Gertrude will be lovingly remembered by her sister Kadi Milder (Stefan) & by extended family Sabina Milder, her son Yannick & Melanie Egeler-Brennenstuhl (Klaus), their daughter Rebecca.  Gertrude was a member of the Ladies Society of the Delhi German Hall for many years.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Gertrude with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, July 16th, 2014 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  Gertrude’s funeral service will be held in the chapel following visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr.
