Death Notices

MERCIER, Roger Daniel (March 23, 1954 - July 25, 2010) – suddenly as a result of an accident on Sunday, July 25th, 2010 in his 57th year.  Beloved husband of Sandra O’Neill of Simcoe.  Lovingly remembered by his siblings Pierrette, Louise (Tony), Guaétane (Andre), André (Judy), Lucien (Debbie), Jean-Luc, Guaétan (Margo).  Roger is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.  Predeceased by his parents Albert & Emilia Mercier and by a brother Paul.  Roger owned and operated Harmony Tractor Trailer for many years.  In his spare time he could often be seen travelling the roads of Norfolk County in one of his prized collection of Mopar fine automobiles.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Roger with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North  Simcoe on Tuesday, July 27th, 2010 from 7-9 p.m.  Roger’s funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tom Sero officiating.  Interment of Ashes:  Walsh United Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate are asked to consider the L.H.S.C. – Renal Transplant Program or the T.D.M.H. – Dialysis Unit.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com  (519) 426-0199
