OHLAND, Lois - passed away on Thursday, July 15th, 2010 at the age of 86 after a short stay in the hospital and a long life. Throughout her life, Lois had a passion for the arts. She passed that love of visual arts, dance, writing, theatre, music and film on to her daughters Kris, Karen and Jane. Lois had an encyclopedic knowledge of classic films and spent her last year reviewing her best loved movies and sharing them with Kris and Jane.  Lois is survived by her daughters Jane Ohland Cameron and Kristin Ohland Riis (Ken).  She is predeceased by her daughter Karen, April 12th, 2002; her husband Harvey, December 5th, 2005;  and her son in law Chris Cameron, June 9th, 2010.  She is also survived by grandsons Adam (Nancy), Greg, Geoff and Christopher;  granddaughter Naomi (Aaron) and great grandsons Cole, Alexander and Austin.  Lois is also survived by her sister Shirley Smatana and brother George Palmerton (Joanne), Simcoe and Bill Palmerton, Campbellford.  Lois's greatest loss was the sudden death of her daughter Karen.
