Corrie ZAFIRIDES

ZAFIRIDES, Corrie LeeAnn (nee Hill) – peacefully with her sisters by her side at the Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton, on Thursday, March 17th, 2022 in her 52nd year.  Beloved mother of Cope & Cailin.  Corrie is survived by her best friend Chris Zafirides of Port Dover.  Cherished daughter of Shirley & Murray Hill of Vanessa.  Loving sister & aunt to Lisa Hill-Alexander (Ian) of Vanessa, their sons Gabriel and Colton; and Amber Bouw (Mark) of Delhi, their children Norah, Anna & Alec.  Corrie is lovingly remembered by Chris’ mother Lin Zafirides of Waterford and by his siblings Greg Zafirides (Jody) and Vilika Harding (Pete).  Corrie’s source of joy was found in the love of her children and proudly being their mother.  Her family was her top priority and her greatest accomplishment.  Corrie was immensely blessed by all of her friends.  Some of those friendships were lifelong and others were gathered along the way as they were drawn to her incredible laugh, radiant smile and her love for having fun.  Corrie was a very special member of The Shop. Corrie was dedicated to her community which appreciated and respected her contributions.  Corrie’s positive attitude was immeasurable and she will forever be remembered for her kind heart and being the voice of reason.  Regardless of the situation she remained solid in her positive perspective and encouraged those around her to do the same.  Her strength was unwavering, her grace a gift to us all and her beauty will be timeless.  Corrie touched several lives both personally and professionally.  She served as a probation officer for over 25 years.  She held a special relationship with her colleagues and worked closely and in collaboration with the Brantford Police Services.  Corrie was the recipient of the Lifetime in Law Enforcement Achievement Award for her exceptional leadership, dedication and passion for her work.  She also received an Exemplary Service Medal from The Office of the Secretary to the Governor General which expresses national gratitude for long and commendable service and recognizes employees dedicated to preserving Canada’s public safety.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Corrie with her family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe N3Y 3R3 for visitation on Thursday, March 24th, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at Calvary Church, Ireland Rd. Simcoe on Friday, March 25th at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Kerr officiating.
