PENNER, Johan “John” (1932-2018) – promoted to the loving arms of his Lord and Saviour at the Maple Manor Nursing Home, Tillsonburg on Thursday, January 11th, 2018 in his 86th year.  Beloved husband of the late Martha (nee Loewen) Penner (2011).  Loving father of Florence Klassen (Gregg) of Manitoba, Fred Penner of Courtland, Marjorie Harder (John) of Delhi and Laura Larochelle (Don) of Walsingham.  Dearly loved grandfather of Heather (Chad), children James, Olivia & Elizabeth;  Ian; Nick (Melissa); Beth (Brett); Aaron (Alicia), daughter Natalie; Tonya; Craig; April; Marcie; Linda (Mike), their children Nadia & Luke; and Sarah (Chris), their children Evelyn, Nolan, Stella & Alice.  John will be sadly missed by his siblings Jake Penner (Linda) of Alberta and Catharina Penner of St. Catharines, and by many nieces, nephew and extended family.  Predeceased by his siblings, an infant Jacob, Peter Penner, Mary Baese, Lena Krahn & Anne Krahn.  Friends are invited to share their memories of John with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Sunday, January 14th, 2018 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.  John’s home going service will be held from EVERGREEN HEIGHTS CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP, 140 Oak St. Simcoe on Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Herman Plett & Jeff MacLeod officiating.  Interment:  Fairview Cemetery, Port Rowan at 2:00 p.m.  Those wishing to donate in memory of John are asked to consider the Gideon Bible Society.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
