OVERBAUGH, A. Douglas (1932-2017) - surrounded by his loving family at the Norview Lodge, Simcoe on Saturday, December 9th, 2017 in his 86th year.  Beloved husband of Jeannette Overbaugh (nee Beemer) of Simcoe.  Loving father of the late Scott Overbaugh (2010);  and Lynn Hazard (Albert) of Great Falls, Virginia.  Cherished grandfather of Taylor Hazard (Emily), their son Beau, the cutest baby in the world of Seattle, Washington;  Kiefer Hazard (Morgan) of Phoenix, Arizona;  Nicholas Hazard of Denver, Colorado;  Evan Overbaugh of Calgary, Alberta;  Connor Overbaugh of Peterborough, Ontario;  and Pamela White (Craig) of Burlington, Ontario.  Also survived by his daughter-in-law Wendy Lindenbach (Dan) of Bancroft, Ontario.  Doug was an elementary school teacher in Norfolk County for many years.  Together he and Jeannette were fortunate to have been able to travel the world extensively.  Doug was also a former member of the Simcoe Lions Club for more than 25 years.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Doug with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, December 13th, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.  Doug’s funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Mullin officiating.  Private interment of ashes:  Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Doug are asked to consider the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
