ROURKE, Wallace Lloyd “Wally” – “to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord” II Corinthians 5:8  Surrounded by family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Tuesday, October 24th, 2017 in his 85th year.  Beloved husband of Lois Rourke (nee Affleck) of Simcoe.  Dearly loved son of the late Audrey & Lloyd Rourke.  Loving father of the late Stephen Rourke (2010), his wife Cindy of St. Catharines and Janice Smith (Brian) of Simcoe.  Cherished grandfather & great grandfather of Breanne Doekes (Kelvin), their son Elijah;  Kendra Rourke (fiancé Sean Pratt);  Heather Smith (Ian), their children Meredith, Carolyn & Vivian;  and Brian (BJ) Smith (Kailee).  Wally will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Mary Simcoe (George) of Ottawa, Ruth McLean (Garry) of Coburg, the late Donald, his wife (Gail) of Richmond Hill and Alan (Joyce) of Burlington and by many nieces, nephews & extended family.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Wally with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Friday, October 27th, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.  Wally’s home going service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Martin Brown officiating.  Interment:  Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Wally are asked to consider the Awana International Canada – Evan Morrison Advocate Support or the Simcoe Gospel Chapel.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
