PAAUW, Hepke – safe in the loving arms of Jesus;  surrounded by family at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Thursday, October 19th, 2017 in his 98th year.  Beloved husband of the late Jitske Paauw (2001).  Loving father of Klaas Paauw (Jennie) of Norwich, Jane Post (Larry) of Paris, Oenze Paauw of Simcoe, Dirk Paauw (Chris) of Townsend and Peter Paauw (Kathy) of Waterford.  Cherished grandfather of Derrick (Joanne), Greg, Valerie Rainey (Daryl), Mandy Rousseau, Brad (Ashley), Victoria Paauw, Ryan (Terri Lynn) and Ashley Paauw.  Hepke will be lovingly remembered by 16 great grandchildren.  Predeceased by several siblings in Holland.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Hepke with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Wednesday, November 1st, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Martin Brown officiating.  Interment:  Greenwood Cemetery, Waterford.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Hepke are asked to consider the Simcoe Gospel Chapel or the Canadian Cancer Society.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
