KIRTON, Mervyn Douglas (1941-2017) -  surrounded by family, and promoted to the loving arms of his Lord and Saviour at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Friday, July 28th, 2017 in his 77th year.  Cherished husband of Anne Kirton (nee West) of Simcoe.  Loving father & grandfather of Mark Kirton (Karen Trickett) of Simcoe, children Meagan, Collin (fiancé Raquel Rose), Alex & Aaron (fiancé Stephanie Wouthuis);  Scott Kirton of St. Thomas and Mike Kirton of Simcoe.  Mervyn will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Bob (Janet) of St. Williams and Hugh (Leslie) of Simcoe and by several nieces, nephews & extended family.  Predeceased by his parents, the late Douglas & Sadie Kirton.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Mervyn with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Tuesday, August 1st, 2017 from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m.  Mervyn’s home going service will be held from BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH, 4059 Hwy #3 East, Simcoe on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Al Feere officiating.  Private family interment:  Newkirk Cemetery, St. Williams.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Mervyn are asked to consider Bethel Baptist Church.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
