MEREDITH, Douglas Kenneth (1949 - 2017) – passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Friday, June 9th, 2017 in his 68th year.  Cherished father & grandfather of Bonnie Meredith (Kevin Clapp) of Simcoe, children Leslie & John;  Sarah Meredith (Brian Benko) of Simcoe, children Alexxa, Landen & Molly;  Krista Meredith of Alberta; and foster son Kenn Moore (Theresa) of Missouri, children Douglas & Shelby.  Loving brother of Bernice Davis (late David) of Port Lambton, Melba Kantor-Harmon (late Ernest) of Simcoe, late Joyce Burke (David) of Vittoria, Donna Thompson (Bob) of Simcoe, Nancy Thompson (Gary) of Simcoe, Jim (Susan) of Lambeth, Edwin (Nancy) of St. Thomas and Clark (Nancy) of Grimsby.  Doug will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Mary Meredith of London and by many nieces, nephews & extended family.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Doug with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Monday, June 12th, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Doug’s funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Mullin officiating.  Interment:  Lynnville Cemetery.  Those wishing to donate in memory of Doug are asked to consider the Cancer Support & Resource Program or Lynnville Cemetery.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
