HAAK, Karl “Karel” (1935 - 2017) – surrounded by his loving family at his home on Tuesday, May 9th, 2017 in his 82nd year.  Cherished husband of Ruly “Roelie” Haak (nee Koen) of Simcoe.  Loving father & grandfather of Cisca Campolongo (Vince) of Guelph, their daughter Kara;  Mark Haak (Kelly) of Brant County, their children Aidan & Sydney;  and Robert Haak (Stephanie) of Simcoe, their children Karly & Jillian.  Karl will be lovingly remembered by his surviving siblings Aafie (Jaap), Ann (Klaas), Jan (Sita) and by nieces, nephews and extended family in Holland.  Karl will be sadly missed by his special friends John & Willie Stam.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Karl with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Thursday, May 11th, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Karl’s funeral service will be held from the Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 95 Oak St. Simcoe on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Vandermeer officiating.  Interment:  Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  In honouring Karl’s memory, those wishing to donate are asked to consider the Cancer Support & Resource Program or Care Partners.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
