FRANCIS, Grant William (1939-2017) – passed away at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Hamilton on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 in his 78th year.  Beloved husband of Audrey Jean Francis (nee Caughill) of Simcoe.  Loving father of William Francis (Jackie), their children Kristina Martens (Mardi) & Adryan;  Kim Farrington, her sons Nathan & David;  Karen Haslam (Norm), sons Ezekiel & Leeland;  and Christine Desmond (Steve), sons Jayson, Joel & Joshua.  Cherished great grandfather of 7 great grandchildren.  Grant will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Ellen Johnson (Don), Irene Snively (late Bruce) and by his sister-in-law Jean Francis.  Sadly missed by Audrey’s mother Mabel Caughill and by her siblings Linda Norman (Richard), Joyce Breedyk (Dick), Dennis Caughill (Janet), Garry Caughill (Gail) and by many nieces, nephews & extended family.  Predeceased by his infant great grand daughters Arianna & Isabella and by his siblings Clara Brownell, Lil Sneddon, Richard Barrow & Ronald Francis.  Friends are invited to share their memories of Grant with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Grant’s funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bret Maukonen officiating.  Interment:  Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate in memory of Grant are asked to consider St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Hamilton or Tyrrell Baptist Church.  Personal online condolences at www.smithfuneralchapel.com (519) 426-0199
