DYKSTRA, John  (1936 - 2016) – suddenly at his home on Tuesday, September 20th, 2016 in his 81st year.  Beloved husband of Jean Dykstra (nee MacAlpine) of Simcoe.  Loving father & grandfather of Robert Dykstra (Melissa Minard) of St. Williams, children Nicole & Kaitlin;  Doug Dykstra (Tammy Fess) of Simcoe, children Jake & Skye;  and the late Brenda Fath (2010), her children Josie & Jake.  Predeceased by his sister the late Edith Berkel (late Art).  John will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews & extended family.  John served as the equipment chairman for the Who Did It Club for many years.  Together, John & Jean owned & operated Dykstra Service Centre Ltd. in Simcoe from 1973 – 2001.  Today, John’s son Doug continues that business as Dykstra Automotive.  In his retirement, John loved to garden and took great interest in his grandchildren, they were truly the joys of his life.  Friends are invited to share their memories of John with his family at the JASON SMITH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 689 Norfolk St. North Simcoe for visitation on Friday, September 23rd, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  John’s funeral service will be held from St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 95 Lot St. Simcoe on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mikal Schomberg and Rev.
